Even the bookies have suspended bets on this one. Gonzalo Higuain’s transfer to the Emirates looks imminent, for a fee of around £22 million. After an undeniably sub-par few seasons, it looks like Arsene Wenger is making a move of intent. Gary Neville stated after Arsenal’s final game of last season that the North London side had been building financially, but that now is the time to ‘go’, and it seems that those at Arsenal agree.
