Changes must be made Mr. Wenger

I am an Arsenal fan through and through but this season is starting to wear on me “badly”. I started out with high hopes but they are quickly starting to fade. Mr. Wenger has the pedigree to be giving the benefit of the doubt and I am not one throw him under the bus just yet. In my observations of the team they are just lacking the drive, the spirit, the oomph that a champion has. They show this spirit at times through every game but rarely put together a complete game of effort.

Our midfield IMO is good now but can be better if we run a 4-4-2. With the play making ability of Santi Cazorla and our rock Mikel Arteta(favorite player) anchoring the center of midfield and the heart of the team Jack Wilshire and Ox-Cham on the corners we can compete with any of the elite squads. With Diaby and Coquelin providing the defensive change-up late in games.

Run Walcott and Giroud up front with Podolski giving them breathers, those two play very well off each other. If we can get another striker to add to the rotation like a Lopez or Villa or Glenn Murray(Crystal Palace 22 goals so far), we would be set.

Now defense, that’s were some changes need to be made. Lets start with who I would keep in the starting lineup. Bacary Sagne is a must stay. I know he has had a couple of brain farts as of late but over all he has been a solid defender for us this year. Per Mertesacker is big strong and physical something we desperately need in the center of our defense. Now here comes the hard decision for me because these are two of my favorites. Kieren Gibbs has a lot of heart and spirit but lets face it he is really a CDM in a LB spot. Love the way he pushes the ball up the field and his aggressiveness on the pitch but we could use an upgrade at that position. For the Captain, Tommy V is awesome but for some reason he has lost his confidence this season and it is showing in every game. Right now we can not have him anchoring our defense, an upgrade is needed.

All in all we have a team that can compete if they can get their swagger back as the kids say. Mr. Wenger has to be honest with himself, this transfer window some changes must be made.
